Well that was quite interesting, coming off of the back of kind donations, I think this was quite the improvement. for starters the environments yet again feel really good with all of them not having that typical shitty rpg maker look. I'm a sucker for a well laid out map and except for those two very apart doors in the storage room exiting in the same place, this game has them. The dialogue was pretty well written, albeit simple but there's nothing wrong with that, sometimes I prefer simply written things with good polish over things that try to be deep but fail at it. I have a bunch of small things I really liked about this game so I'm going to fire them off here: the intro sequence was fire, the amount of things to interact with and dialogue to get was very nice, the music that played while waiting for the insurance call gave me Toby Fox vibes, the coal mechanic was very unexpected but very cool and unique, the first office track sounded overly beautiful for an office but the rest of the OST fit well, the hidden obstacles in the storage room didn't make a whole lot of sense but was a fun little mechanic, the textbox changing when using the computer was a very simple yet effective way to give off a computer aesthetic and I personally liked it because of the old blue retro feel, and the voice lines on the phone were all so creepy and shiver-inducing especially the "alone" one. That is to say, this game did not come without bugs, once I exited that creepy office back room area my speed was permanently stuck at Mach 10 which made interacting with objects and getting around tight corners a pain. I also discovered another little bug that happens when you interact with almost anything important while you have the coal timer where the timer will just disappear, this actually got me killed because I thought the coal job was done. All that being said though, I did still very much enjoy my time with this game, the writing and art style dragged me in once again, great work Jaspers!

very spooky job aplication

Very well-made surreal "workplace horror" game!

I do have a report for a game-breaking bug though. When I first messed with the vending machine after getting coins from the break room, it seems like you can input the wrong code and get soft-locked! The game plays a "success" sound, but you don't get the key item (i.e. Red Nozzle) required to progress and it doesn't allow you continue purchasing more items.

I was unlucky because I didn't know about the save system until after it happened to me. So for other players, be sure to make a save by eating your lunch at the fridge before using the coins, otherwise you'd have to restart the entire game like me!

For a video example, here's a link to the specific moment in my playthrough: https://youtu.be/IeRNIMn5TCU?t=13129. Please ignore me being an upset little baby after I realized I was soft-locked, haha.

Another minor detail, only relevant for YouTube, is that the song "Silent Turmoil by Myuu" will get you a copyright claim unless you provide credit in the video description. More details are found on the artist's website: https://www.thedarkpiano.com/faq#Q41.

Anyways, this was a very high-quality game otherwise, especially for something in RPGmaker made in 3 weeks. I hope to continue seeing more of the developer's projects in the future!

(Also has no commentary.)

Very fun RPG Maker Horror with classic game elements (limited save, I guess until the end/last door.) This is how simply working in an office building that's just mostly almost abandoned at this point and has contact with elder gods works. Also pixel arts are fantastically made as well.

Overall, well done!

I'm not sure if I just finished the game. The computer says "You can go", and nothing else is happening for me. I really like this btw!

How do I fix the printer...?

No save challenge, I like your idea but this may be the best rpg horror game ever made!

Please add a way to save your progress so you don't have to start from scratch every time you lose

There is a way to save your progress! You just have to look around a little to find it.

There's no way to delete characters when you're choosing your name, so you're always Pepper :P

There is, it's just not the backspace key because RPG Maker 2003 is a little dumb. The ESC or X keys delete characters, I'll consider making a more obvious note of that in a future patch.

so, I got soft locked I think right at the start. I got the call in the storage room but the key to the office was completely gone. I tried interacting with everything but never got the key?

Yeah, same here. I got the second job by interacting blindly in the dark before I could get to the office key, so I got softlocked.

So awesome to see another game from you!
